Sunday
Circular Church gathers for prayer and praise in several different ways and at different times. The following is a list of our regular services.
Morning Worship (Sundays at 11:00AM, 10:15AM June through Labor Day)
This service uses a traditional format with choir and organ, preaching and the celebration of the sacraments. It begins with a time of exchanging greetings and making announcements, then proceeds through the drama of worship following what Matthew Fox called the four movements of Christian spirituality: via positiva, via negativa, via creativa, and via transformativa. A larger congregation appreciates the celebration of God’s love in a vibrant and diverse community.
Jazz Vespers (Second Sunday at 6:00PM)
Using the talents of guest jazz and blues musicians as well as some in the congregation, this service captures the freedom and improvisation of the jazz medium to worship in a new style and with pulsing energy. This unconventional service draws many visitors.
